Highlights

Location: 5 minutes away from The Leas & shops

Rooms: Bright double rooms overlooking gardens

Dining: Varied breakfast menu including cooked options

Pet-Friendly: Dog friendly with advance bookings

Parking: Private off-road parking available

“The Wycliffe strikes me as a particularly welcoming Victorian-era choice, especially given the rarity of off-street parking in Folkestone. As a family-owned operation, they seem to prioritize personalized service, even accommodating early breakfasts. I think it's a smart pick for those heading to the Eurotunnel or families wanting to explore the local beaches with their dogs.”

The Wycliffe Guest House is often praised for its convenient location, especially its easy access to the Euro Tunnel. Many guests appreciate the spacious rooms, some featuring beautiful sash windows, and the availability of tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is generally well-received, though a few guests have mentioned minor issues, such as thin walls and some bathrooms being located outside the room. On the upside, free parking is a definite plus, with parking spaces available right outside the guest house.

A Super clean and Cute Stay

cute host super clean room great service
The host was very cute. Sharon were great. She gave great service. The rooms were super clean, and so was the rest of the building, honestly. Breakfast was spot on. Nothing was ever any trouble for Sharon.
The bathroom was small. There was not enough space to bend over easily at the sink. As a taller person, it was a bit challenging to use the toilet.
Dining
9/10
I ordered different breakfasts . They were delicious and very well presented. There was plenty of choice on the menu, so you can make choices. The dining area was very clean and organized, which I appreciated.
Facilities
8/10
The building is warm and clean. The hotel provides an opportunity to walk around the immediate area. There is some parking on site, but it is limited. It operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so be aware of that.

comfy bed late checkin helpful staff
The location is close to the channel tunnel. I received help with a late check in from the staff. The bed was comfy and allowed a good night's rest.
The shower temperature was difficult to adjust. It was either too cold or too hot.
